Meet The Team
Vinay Gowdra Halappa, Interim Director
Vinay brings a broad range of expertise in IT strategy, planning, architecture, and solution implementation. With a background in leading turnkey projects for various enterprises, he has a proven track record of driving successful technology transformations. Vinay holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, an MBA, and a Masters in Informatics focusing on Cloud Computing and Analytics from Northeastern University, Boston.
At Fresno State, Vinay collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to design, manage, and deliver cutting-edge technology solutions. His work primarily focuses on implementing and overseeing IT infrastructure services and cloud strategies. Vinay's team provides essential technology platforms, including hybrid IT infrastructure (on-premises and cloud), storage solutions, and identity management solutions.
Systems Adminstration
The Systems Administration team is responsible for the server environment supporting central campus services including calendaring, email, web-servers, network infrastructure services, and the campus portal. This environment includes the hardware, operating systems and storage systems associated with these servers.
Digital Infrastructure
The Digital Infrastructure team is a dedicated group responsible for managing SCCM, Jamf, and ticketing systems. This team ensures seamless deployment and maintenance of software across Windows and macOS environments, leveraging SCCM for Windows and Jamf for macOS to automate updates, patches, and software installations. They also handle the ticketing system, providing timely and efficient responses to user requests and incidents. Their expertise ensures system reliability, security, and user satisfaction, playing a crucial role in maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure.
Cloud Infrastructure
Our cloud infrastructure team specializes in designing, implementing, and managing scalable solutions primarily within AWS. They excel in optimizing cloud resources, ensuring high availability, and leveraging AWS services to enhance performance and security for our applications and data.
IT Services
The IT Services team manages the uniflow-dept and printsvr02 print servers, serve as the Uniflow Administrator, and oversee IT asset management and license renewals.
Database Technologies
The Database Technology team at our university manages and optimizes our data systems, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and security of information.
