Digital Student Experience: Bulldog Bound App
In the Summer of 2022, Fresno State Technology Services embarked on a mission to analyze the current digital experience of students at Fresno State. To further extend this research Fresno State and Cal State Innovate from the Chancellor’s Office partnered to present The Fresno State Student Digital Experience (DXP) Research Report. To examine the use of technology and the efficiency of websites, applications, and other platforms necessary to being a student at Fresno State, a series of focus groups and a campus-wide survey were conducted.
The results showed that the next generation of students expects modern technology experiences through channels they most prefer.
Fresno State is reimagining the digital experience to transform how our campus community engages and interacts with technology. This vision brings together initiatives such as the Student Digital Experience and the Automated University to create a Digital One Stop that leverages digital innovation and the data ecosystem to empower student success.
The first step in this digital transformation journey begins with the Fresno State Mobile App. Recently redesigned, the app provides students with mobile-first personalized experiences, timely communications, and real-time resource access from the palm of their hand. This reimagined mobile experience is just the beginning of a future where digital innovation empowers students and elevates the technology experience at Fresno State.
The Bulldog Bound use case is our first step towards providing students with an enhanced mobile experience. Students can access information and resources such as account balances, course schedules, grades, and so much more -- anytime, anywhere. Streamlined communication creates targeted and impactful mobile communications for Fresno State students through push and in app notifications.
Creating Personalized Experiences for Prospective Students
Fresno State's new guaranteed admissions program, Bulldog Bound, provides high school students from parterning school districts a clear and equitable pathway to higher education. In partnership with Technology Services and Student Affairs, Bulldog Bound offers students in the program a personalized, mobile expereince to give them easy access to services and resources and real-time communication.
